Turkish Airlines launches flights to Australia

Turkish Airlines will start flights from Istanbul to Melbourne from December this year.

Ahmed PolatDaily flights are being planned for later, and they also hope that – since the airline will soon order new planes – they will be able to offer direct daily flights to Sydney within five years, said the head of Turkish Airlines at the annual general meeting of IATA.

According to the president, Melbourne appears to be an advantageous option because of the Turkish population that lives there, as well as the city’s large catchment area and not very many airlines flying there. The airline is also considering flights to Brisbane and Perth.
