There is hardly anyone who would not like this Scania S580 with a Dutch license plate, which deserves attention not only for its exterior, but also for its impressive dimensions. The cab of the Swedish 6×2 V8 engine tractor has been extended by 1 metre. Thanks to this, it was possible to create a living space that is more spacious than average.
Most field saddles have room for one or two beds behind the seats. Well, the S580 in question has room for more. Behind the driver and passenger seats is a locker. One has a large fridge and microwave oven. The driver closes his eyes to sleep on the upper bunk fixed to the wall of the cab, if he feels comfortable, but if he just wants company, he can just sit on one of the leather chairs facing under the bunk.
Card party? Maybe chess during the break? There is also room for another friend in Scania. There will certainly be no problem with the atmosphere, as an acoustic wall is built into the smoking table between the two armchairs. There are no complaints about the overall appearance of the bespoke Scania. The interior features rustic, smoky colours. The caramel and dark brown colors make you feel more at home for the weekend than in a saddle meant for a half haul. The feeling of life is complemented by the V8 logo, which is echoed not only from the exterior of the car, but also from the table top.
The unique Scania tows a 12.05m semi-trailer for transporting waste primarily intended for recycling, so it fully complies with current European regulations. The Dutch were also careful not to neglect the trailer, which is why black and red paint can also be found on semi-trailers. No matter where Driver takes him on a ride, one thing’s for sure: he’ll always be stared at with this beast.
