Former Czech hockey player Vladimir Roth has been added to FTC-Telekom’s reigning Hungarian Erste Liga team.

The club, which won the Hungarian League title five times in a row, announced on its website, on Wednesday, that after the departure of seven players, four arrived, and the extension period for seven players was extended, who signed the 33-year-old defender.
Roth started playing hockey with HC Slovan Ustecti Lvi, then moved to Slavia Prague, and then played for two seasons with the London Knights in the Canadian Junior League. In the 2009-2010 season, he returned to Slavia Paraha, walking with him to third place in the Czech Extraliga, and then made his debut in 2010 among the seniors in the Czech national team. After his loan deals, he did not extend his contract with Prague and moved to Trenik, where he became the most successful defender in the league with 11 goals and 29 points in 2013, then celebrated with Extraliga titles the following season.
He appeared briefly in the KHL as a player for Sibir Novosibirsk, then returned to Trinec, which had just won the Extraliga with a goal by Roth. In the last three years he has visited six clubs and once again won the championship title in the Czech First Division with Trenik.
With the arrival of Vladimir Roth, FTC-Telekom has 21 members for the 2023-2024 season.
