Researchers’ Night awaits you this year too!

The University of Debrecen is waiting for those interested in the Secrets of Science workshop with a record number of nearly 200 programs on September 29, the night of researchers.

This initiative was launched in 2005 by the European Union Commission in order to offer research careers to young people across Europe, popularizing the natural sciences and showing that being a researcher is an exciting challenge.

The University of Debrecen has joined the educational chain from the beginning.

The head of the Scientific Directorate at the University of Debrecen emphasized: It is an important task to show that science has a daily aspect that is understandable to everyone, which is what we live every day. The diversity of programs allows all interested parties to choose from the offer and gain new knowledge in an informative or even entertaining form.

All faculties of the university present themselves at Researchers’ Night, and programs are open to those interested in science in Nyiregyhaza, Hajdoposzormeni and Szolnok as well as Çivisváros in the different campuses of the University of Debrecen (DE).

Popular and proven programs will not be left out: there will be amazing chemistry experiments, an anatomical tour, we can see the running water laboratory in action, learn about baby plants in flasks, and the dance floor will not be left out either.

According to a member of the DE Science Board, the main organizer of the institutional programme, one of the most exciting and perhaps most exciting displays will be the helicopter demonstration by air ambulances, which will also demonstrate simulated life-like life-saving interventions in the plaza in front of the main building.

At the Institute of Histology and Development, you can get an insight into the anatomical secrets of the human body, there will be a hearing of a sample of the Civil Code, an ant farm on the desk, a hedgehog encyclopedia, a Chinese tea house, and a colorful world. Minerals, fun quiz on financial vocabulary in English and German, social science activity, interesting things from the world of perfumes, drone show…

Another novelty is that high school students participating in the College of Economics programs will receive a certificate, which will serve as an additional point for applicants for college courses.

The variety of programs is endless, but they have one thing in common: all events can be visited for free.
