Flight hosts use a secret code to let each other know if they find you attractive
While hosts must remain professional at all times, that doesn’t mean they can’t sometimes have a little fun and invisible to the unconsumed eye.
An anonymous flight attendant on British cabincrew forum cabincrew.com mentioned the inside joke the crew use to subtly communicate to each other that they find someone attractive.
The rules of the game are simple: after the plane has landed, as passengers disembark and crew members congregate at the door, when a flight attendant sees a passenger she thinks is attractive, she must say “Cheerio” while her face reveals nothing.
Although it’s impossible to tell whether the game is a British specialty or if it has already conquered the entire world, if a flight attendant says goodbye to you after a flight by saying cheerio, someone has probably caught your eye.
