Andrei Sadovy, the mayor of Lviv, also said on Telegram that the city itself was not bombed, but that the Russians attacked vital infrastructure in the area with about two dozen missiles and seven attack drones.

Poland indicated that it had activated its air forces to ensure the safety of Polish airspace after strikes also struck the Ukrainian border region of Lviv. The Operations Command of the Polish Armed Forces (RSZ) announced:

“We have activated all necessary measures to ensure the safety of Polish airspace, and the RSZ is constantly monitoring the situation.”

Moscow has not yet commented on Sunday's attack.

At the same time, the Russian side also reported on the Ukrainian attacks. The Russian-appointed governor of the port of Sevastopol in occupied and annexed Crimea said Russian forces shot down 10 Ukrainian missiles over the city late Saturday. Mikhail Razvozsayev said that an administrative building and a gas pipeline were destroyed, and a woman was injured by shrapnel.
