The United States called on its citizens to leave Lebanon for the second time

The US Embassy in Beirut said that the State Department recommends the following:

US citizens in Lebanon should leave now as long as commercial flights are available despite the unpredictable security situation.

The call was published on Saturday morning on the Twitter page of the US Embassy in Lebanon. The post says so

There is no guarantee that the United States government will be able to evacuate individuals and their families in the event of a crisis.

The United States has already warned its citizens against leaving Lebanon. On October 16, the US Embassy asked its citizens in the country via email to

Prepare for all eventualities, including leaving as soon as possible.

Britain also urged its citizens to leave the Middle Eastern country as much as possible, as tensions rise between Hezbollah and Israel.
