According to the news so far, the Google Pixel 8 models will be introduced sometime in October.
Google Pixel 8 Pro will be the more affordable of the two devices, and also the model that offers more. The mobile phone debuts with a 6.7-inch, 120Hz QHD+ LTPO OLED display, covered by Google’s Tensor G3 chip with a dedicated Titan security chip, 12GB of RAM, and 128 or 256GB of storage depending on the configuration.
The premium smartphone can be replaced by a 4,950mAh battery, which will support 27W charging via wires. The phone will be running Android 14 when it comes out. Among the expected features, an ultrasonic fingerprint reader integrated into the screen and an infrared temperature sensor on the back panel are worth mentioning. Only the Pro model gets this extra feature, and it can also be used to measure temperature, among other things.

A total of three image recording modules could be running on the back of the Google Pixel 8 Pro, and the primary one will be a 50MP unit with optical image stabilization, which will be supported by a 64MP wide-angle. And a 48MP telephoto build while shooting. When taking selfies, an 11-megapixel selfie camera is available to the future owner.
According to previous rumors, the base unit may be based on Samsung ISOCELL GN2, the telephoto unit may be based on ISOCELL GM5, and the ultra-wide angle sensor may be based on Sony IMX787. The camera also includes a ToF module, which will help with focus.
