Xi Jinping urged strengthening the rule of law in China’s foreign relations

Chinese President Xi Jinping, during a meeting of the Political Committee of the ruling Communist Party yesterday, urged Beijing to strengthen the “rule of law” in the field of foreign relations, specifically protecting its citizens and interests abroad, and protecting foreigners. In China, deepen its international cooperation in the field of law enforcement. This was reported by official media on Tuesday.

He explained that this is necessary because China faces more and more “external threats and challenges” in parallel with its openness to the world. In recent years, private Chinese companies have been prosecuted abroad several times on charges ranging from product counterfeiting and theft to blocking video sharing portals.

Xi said that in parallel with globalization, Chinese companies and individuals must also learn how to follow the law. “China should actively participate in the development of international legal services, develop world-class arbitration institutions, and establish law firms abroad.” He confirmed.

According to Haszi, the rule of law is the best environment for business activity, so a legal system that is open, transparent and closely linked to the rest of the world must be built. It should also strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights and the rights of foreigners living in China and foreign-funded enterprises.
