The border station on the Laredo-Colombia Solidarity Bridge is less crowded than other Mexican crossings, with an average wait time of 20 minutes, but in order to speed up production, they are trying to reduce this 20 minutes.

According to a statement by Nuevo Leon Economy Minister Ivan Rivas, the country wants to become a hub for electric mobility, and this is a simple step to help it. Six Tesla suppliers also operate plants in the state, including ZF Friedrichshafen AG, Faurecia SE and Quanta Computer. It was not possible to find out if Tesla was offering any kind of compensation to the state, nor what path inspectors would do to civilians arriving with Tesla.
