Our bed is a sacred place. A place where we sleep, where we can relax after tiring weekdays and where we can spend most of our weekends relaxing. It should not be a place where you and your partner ignore each other, because some bad habits can ruin your relationship.

Parallel scrolling

According to experts, if you are in what is called “parallel scrolling”, it can cause serious problems in your relationships. “Parallel swiping” is a term that means you and your partner are on the phone at the same time, next to each other and completely ignoring the other. Although it is completely understandable that you need to relax at the end of the day, this habit can completely kill your intimacy.

In a 2017 Baylor University study of 143 people in romantic relationships, 70% of participants said that using a cell phone “very often,” “often,” or “constantly” interfered with communication with their partner. Tracy Ross, a couples and family therapist in New York, said it's hard to find a couple who doesn't see their phone as an unwanted third party in their relationship.
