According to a spokesman for the Prime Minister’s Office in London, Britain is supplying Ukraine with these weapons in addition to a shipment of defensive weapons worth 100 million pounds (more than 45 billion forints) announced the day before.

The military relief package announced Friday includes 800 anti-tank missiles and other precision missile weapons and StarStreak portable anti-aircraft missile systems. London has already given Ukraine a lot from the latest weapons system, whose missiles fly at three times the speed of sound.

In addition to Saturday’s announcement of another arms shipment, Downing Street also announced that the British government is guaranteeing a new loan package from the World Bank worth $500 million to be disbursed to Ukraine on behalf of the Ukrainian government.

According to Johnson’s office on Saturday, that guarantee must also be approved by the London Parliament under British law. If approved, the value of the loan that Britain has guaranteed so far to Ukraine will rise to one billion dollars.

After Saturday’s meeting with Downing Street Johnson and Zelensky, he also announced that London would liberalize customs regulations on exports from Ukraine to Britain and ease general customs procedures for the vast majority of Ukrainian exports, in line with the Ukrainian government’s commitment to maintaining stability. of the Ukrainian economy.
