For the film to be shown on Netflix, Zack Snyder himself has released some stunning new concept sketches that indicate how far the co-director’s original idea, which he likened to Star Wars and Akira Kurosawa’s work, will take.
Rebel Moon tells the story of a peaceful colony on the edge of a galaxy threatened by the armies of a tyrannical guardian named Belisarius. The Rebel Moon is a true passion project by Zack Snyder
Zack Snyder wanted to make the concept for Rebel Moon a long time ago, and the director envisioned creating a new sci-fi franchise Ala Star Wars long before Disney purchased the iconic movie from LucasFilm. “We talked about it, but it never happened [történt meg]. Out of the Star Wars universe, I worked on it myself as a sci-fi thing…it’s still a sci-fi thing. Snyder said earlier it’s the same story. “Now I’m just going to let Star Wars be Star Wars. My 11-year-old self still wants to do it and now I know how to do it. So, maybe we’ll see one day.”
Snyder decided to “let Star Wars turn into Star Wars,” and now draws more on the work of director Akira Kurosawa, who of course was the inspiration for George Lucas. “I grew up as a fan of Akira Kurosawa, a Star Wars fan. It’s my love of science fiction and it’s a huge adventure,” Snyder said of Rebel Moon. build this universe. All corners must be painted. Zack Snyder will be producer of Rebel Moon along with his production partner and wife, Deborah Snyder, and the goal is for the film to make its own franchise. Although Netflix has not yet announced a release date for the movie, filming for Rebel Moon is expected to begin later this year.
