The Star Wars sequel had mixed feelings from fans when it hit the big screen. However, time has not made memories better, in fact more and more people are seeing them as if they were never meant to be made at all. Naturally, public outrage also reached the character of main character Daisy Ridley – thankfully only the character and not the actress herself.
So it’s no wonder that when the creators of Star Wars announced that another movie would be made, in which Daisy Ridley would return as Rey, I was absolutely terrified.
We love Star Wars, but Ahsoka’s series isn’t that good after all
Then I gathered my courage before walking out on stage because no one knew this was going to happen. I was so nervous. Oh my God!
The actress said in an interview and continued: “But it’s been so wonderfully received by people. I’ve been so excited. The story is so great, I’m currently waiting to read the script, so by definition I can’t provide any further updates. It’s not what I expected, but I’m so happy.”
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, another also expressed positive feelings about the upcoming production, whose director (Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy) and writer (Steven Knight) are already known.
– I can honestly say it took me back to the time when I was 20-21 years old and The Force Awakens was announced. I was completely frozen, so full of emotions, so nervous, but the audience reaction was amazing. I’m really excited for this upcoming movie. I haven’t seen the script yet, but I know the story. And it’s a story worth telling, and worth touring, so I think people will be excited too – Tell.
