The authorities issued the highest level of red alert for the Trondheim region and the island of Lofoten.

In Norway, they are preparing for the biggest storm of the last 30 years: according to a local meteorological service report, Hurricane Ingon with hurricane force will soon reach the coast of the northern European country from the Atlantic Ocean.

Due to expected wind gusts of up to 180 kilometers per hour, the authorities asked residents to stay in their homes as much as possible, but if anyone leaves the house, they must be careful of flying objects.

Cyclone Injun is expected to affect the same area as the 1992 New Year's Eve hurricane, considered one of the largest storms in Norwegian history.

According to the Meteorological Service, the storm will leave the area on Thursday.
