Our team participated in the GOMU 48 Hours Ultra Running World Championships held in Gloucester, England, after winning Hungarian gold medals in all four categories.

For women, competitor of Balatonfüred Sports Club, Victoria Brown She won (in our first photo) with a distance of 349.6 km, ahead of Romanian Mara Guler (326 km) and Finnish Marianne Mäkinen (320.8 km). As for the rest of the Hungarian women, she ranked eighth Christina Drabek (266 km), 9th Christian Hornianski (251.2 kilometers) and ranked tenth Ignacz Marietta (248 km).

An excellent year's production for men Beda Zabolcs (in our second photo) won after Sashegyi Gepárdok's rival covered a distance of 390.8 km. Poland's Lukács Sagan (376.8 km) took second place, while Britain's Dan Lawson (370.4 km) took third place. Another Hungarian participant in this field, a Hungarian Ultra Running Association athlete, Fodor Szilard He ranked ninth with a distance of 276 km.

With these excellent results, both in the women's and men's teams, Hungary finished in first place, meaning that our excellent athletes can take home four gold medals.

Next year, our team can defend the World Championship title on home soil, as the next 48-hour Ultra Running World Championships will be held on May 31, 2024 in Balatonfüred.
