Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh's new drama series The Brothers Sun premieres on Netflix on January 4. The 8-episode series revolves around Charles Sun, a gangster from Taipei, who falls into the life of a cruel killer. However, when his family is targeted by a mysterious enemy, he must travel to Los Angeles to protect his stunted mother and unsuspecting younger brother.

Now, two months after the premiere, a decision has already been made about the future of the series. Netflix has announced that it is axing The Sun Brothers after one season. Thus, the series ended with the first season, consisting of 8 parts. Although the production was critically acclaimed, The Sun Brothers did not achieve enough ratings to continue working.
