During the broadcast of Minecraft Live, there was also a lot of talk about Minecraft Legends. We found out when the spin-off would be released and also got a bunch of new scenes.
Minecraft Legends was only introduced this summer, but Mojang revealed that we can start the adventure next spring. The latest episodic game of the series will be an action strategy title, in which you will be tasked with protecting the world from the attacks of boar hunters from the afterlife. This demonic invasion was already shown in the last trailer:
However, yesterday’s digital Minecraft Live demo also had other good things about the game, and Minecraft Legends Creative Director Magnus Nedfors and person in charge of the narration, Kevin Grace, detailed what we can expect during our heroic adventures. In the video attached below, you can see what the gameplay looks like, not only alone, but also in the four-person co-op.
We also learned that Minecraft Legends will be built around three main tools. The Flame of Creation activates the eggs that produce the friendly creatures of our world, and by using the Banner of Courage we can give them orders and summon them into battle. However, no Minecraft game can be complete without building and destroying – our hero will use a lute machine for this, which can be picked and destroyed, collecting raw materials and, of course, building.
