The FBI found the Bullock brothers and their accomplice, Joseph Hutchinson, on a rural farm in Florida.
Jonathan Daniel Bullock was charged in 2021 with, among other things, violent behavior towards a police officer at the Federal Parliament Building. The man did not show up for his arraignment and has since been wanted, with a $30,000 bounty on his head. Following the serious events of January 6, 2021, judicial authorities launched the most comprehensive investigative, prosecutorial, and adjudicative process in U.S. history.
To date, 1,230 federal criminal charges have been filed, and the identities of about 80 other criminals are being sought.
The investigation continues to find those who planted pipe bombs at the headquarters of the national organizations of the Democratic and Republican parties during the riots.
The court sentenced more than seven hundred people
Out of 1,230 indictments, the court has so far issued rulings in 750 cases, in almost two-thirds of them imposing longer or shorter prison sentences. 730 of the defendants admitted their guilt.
The court issued the most severe sentence, 22 years in prison, in the case of Enrique Tarrio, leader of the extremist Proud Boys organization, which convicted him of conspiring against the state. The leaders of two organizations considered to be the organizers of the riots were accused of committing an extremely rare incident.
During the riots on January 6, 2021, demonstrators clashed with police, forcefully entered the building and caused damage. The assessment of what happened has been the subject of political debate in the United States ever since.
Trump was banned from campaigning in Colorado due to the riots
Donald Trump was recently barred from holding any public office by the Colorado State Supreme Court, whose members were appointed by the Democratic governor, and the head of Maine's Democratic administration decided to do so, expressing the opinion that the former president was complicit in the insurrection.
Donald Trump's lawyers appealed the decisions. The Federal Supreme Court announced on Friday that it will review the decision made in Colorado in an expedited procedure, meaning that the highest legal forum in the United States will decide whether Donald Trump will run in the 2024 elections.
Republicans who are preparing for the primary elections accuse the Democrats of narrowing the race to deprive the American people of the freedom to choose who they want to see as president of the country.
