In the funny footage, you can see how the two bear brothers try to climb onto their mother so that they can travel comfortably on her back. And in another photo, we can already see how the puppies feel the presence of a stranger and look shyly in the direction of the photographer’s camera. The long-lipped bear is a species of bear native to the Indian subcontinent. The individual is listed by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List as an endangered species, mainly due to the loss of its habitat and the deterioration of its conditions. Nature photographer Mahavir Surana captured these stunning images at Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve, India.
“The cubs, being so small, were very wary of anything unknown and very alert to our presence,” Mahavir said. – The mother bear was looking for termites because she loves to feed on insects. A few minutes later, the mother and her two cute cubs crossed the road, just a few feet away from us. I felt really lucky to be able to take such wonderful pictures of the female carrying her young on her back.”
