Basically, we don’t recommend using the PS5’s incognito browser to browse the internet, which unfortunately can only be conjured with a little trickery.
12/27/2021 – For some reason, Sony thought that since so few people wander the steppes of the internet from consoles anyway, they would delete the browser entirely from their next-gen hardware. This can be strange because not only do Xbox Series consoles have dedicated software for this, but even the previous generation, PlayStation 4, had the option to browse the web.
Yes, but there is already a browser on PS5, and it is well hidden from prying eyes. Fortunately, you don’t need huge tricks or technical knowledge to be able to use it, but it is worth preparing for the fact that you can only use it in a very limited way. This means that in addition to textual content, it is difficult to handle multimedia content (mostly videos and music).
The easiest way to access the hidden browser is through our chats. Literally, the easiest and quickest way to access a web browser is to send a link to a friend, such as Google.com. Then click on the underlined sent text, and you’re done.
If for some reason this is not an option, we have to go to the settings menu, then open the user and then the submenus that indicate the connection of other services. Here you have to select Connect to your Twitter profile, then when the login window pops up, you have to click on the Twitter icon in the top left corner.

You will then be taken to the traditional Twitter desktop login interface. Here, we still cannot type in the URL bar, but after logging into our account, this will no longer be a hindrance. From here, you can actually get to any Internet portal, albeit with a trick, because you have to click on its Twitter links (another profile -> message), but you should be prepared for the fact that the experience will not be enough .
If someone wants to watch or listen to video and music content in the background, by all means choose from the apps available on PS. For everything else, there is a mobile phone or PC. It’s a shame, since many, if not most, will be using the console’s browser option, which may seem like science fiction to PS5 owners now, but perhaps an official implementation of this will come in the future. Although if the reason for leaving the browser is to avoid Web Game Pass and similar services, then there is unlikely to be any chance of this.
