Final Fantasy 7 Remake is not coming to Xbox at this time

Xbox Brazil’s X account accidentally posted an image, based on the news that revealed a Square Enix game was coming to Xbox, but that’s not the case, Microsoft also deleted the post.

This is why it was surprising that in the middle of the montage one of Final Fantasy VII’s iconic characters, Barret, could be seen with his little daughter, Marlene. Sure, the original game is available on the platform, but the image is from a remake.

The imagination of keen netizens immediately caught on the Internet, because it would have been a bit of a tease for the fact that the game, which was a PlayStation and PC exclusive, would finally be released on the Xbox consoles. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case, a fellow photo editor was careless and posted the photo.

Microsoft also deleted the post and confirmed that the game is not available on Xbox. It’s true that the Square Enix franchise’s MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV, is coming to Microsoft’s platform next year, and Naoki Yoshida wants to bring the rest of the series to Xbox, but no details were given in terms of titles or years.
