As we reported earlier this week, copies of Final Fantasy 16 have been hitting consumers’ hands ahead of next week’s release, and unfortunately, spoilers are starting to spread across the web. This prompted Square Enix to release a statement on the matter The official account of the game on social mediaHe asked players to cooperate while he tried to entertain his sick fans.
The statement begins: “We are aware that some physical copies of Final Fantasy XVI are being distributed.” “We are thoroughly investigating illegal purchases and working to curb them before the game officially launches on June 22.” He adds that his “priority is to ensure that the entire game experience is not spoiled by our fans”.
The post continues: “For those who received a copy prior to release, we ask that you refrain from sharing any aspects of the game, including screenshots, videos, and live streams, until the official release of Final Fantasy 16. Collaboration last week before departure. Day 22 June is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to experience the full game the way the development team intended.”
