The new chip is based on TSMC’s 4nm manufacturing technology, and the processor contains four Cortex A715 power cores operating at a frequency of 3.35 GHz and four Cortex A510 energy-saving cores operating at a frequency of 2.2 GHz.
All eight cores are based on the ARMv9 architecture and, according to MediaTek, are capable of 20% faster CPU performance and 30% higher power efficiency compared to the Dimensity 8200.
The new chip comes with the ARM Mali-G615 MC6 graphics accelerator, which provides a 60% improvement in GPU performance and promises 55% greater power efficiency compared to its predecessor.

According to MediaTek, so-called cold starts of applications (when they have not been opened before) can be 17% faster, while applications start 47% faster from standby using the chip. The Dimensity 8300 supports quad-channel LPDDR5X memory with a maximum speed of 8533 Mbps, as well as MCQ support for UFS 4.0, thanks to which the CPU cores can access data separately at the same time.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Redmi K70E coming later this month will come with the Dimensity 8300.
