Former Dire Straits guitarist Jack Sonny, who worked with British rock band Brothers In Arms in 1985, has died at the age of 68. independent.

The band said goodbye to the musician on Facebook. They said, “The passing of our beloved Jack left a void in our hearts and souls. We will miss you very much, but you will remain with us forever.”

Sonny was born in 1954, and met Mark and David Knopfler, who founded the band, where he worked as a salesman at Rudy’s Music Stop, a famous guitar shop in New York, and after the latter’s separation, he joined Dire Straits in 1984, and was a member of it until 1988.
