It would be a shame to deny it, as it has a very similar design to the EV9, but the difference in size of the two cars is significant
Its appearance may already be familiar, as it is not much different from the typical car. Naturally, the headlights and taillights were slightly modified, but there were no door handles in the study. Of the latter, only he was in his usual place at the front doors, hidden by the C-pillar at the back. The model based on the E-GMP (Electric Global Modular) platform is 4.3 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and 1.56 meters high, with a wheelbase of 2.68 metres. It can be said that the drag coefficient of 0.26 is average among electric cars.
Its wheel length is 4.3 metres, while the wheelbase is 2.68 metres
At the back, the door handles are located next to the C-pillar
In the passenger compartment, as expected, there is Kia's usual dual-screen solution. In addition to the 12.3-inch digital instrument console, the same-sized touchscreen protrudes directly from the dashboard, but if that's not enough, there's also a HUD display that projects information directly onto the windshield.
Among other things, the seats, armrests on the door panels and even the floor mats are made from recycled plastic bottles.
The EV3 is the first Kia model to get the i-pedal 3.0 system, with which the user can adjust the recuperation according to their own needs, but the technology also enables one-pedal driving
There are two 12.3-inch displays behind the steering wheel, including the right-hand touchscreen. The direction key is located below the mustache key on the right
There are only a few buttons on the center console, but the dashboard wasn't “overdone” either
Luggage space is 460 litres, but there is also a 25-litre storage space (boot) in the front
The car has a 58.3 kWh battery, but for longer range, an 81.4 kWh battery is also available. With the latter, you can travel up to 600 kilometers between two charges according to the WLTP cycle, which promises to be one of the best in its class. According to the brand's advertisement, it can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 31 minutes using a fast charger. The electric motor generates a power of 201 hp (170 kW), coupled with a torque of 283 Nm, to accelerate the EV3 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.5 seconds, and its maximum speed reaches 170 km/h. The first copies will be produced in South Korea in July, and it is possible that they will arrive in Europe in the second half of the year.
The EV3 may arrive in Hungary at the end of this year
