Netflix is getting another NBC show! We can report it Lopez vs. Lopez It has been licensed to Netflix in the US, with all episodes scheduled for release in November 2023.
The series first aired in the fall of 2022 on NBC, and is created by George Lopez, Maya Lopez, and Debby Wolf. The comedy revolves around a working-class family that is deeply dysfunctional after George’s company goes bankrupt and he is forced to move into his daughter’s house.
Jorge Lopez and Mayan Lopez lead the cast with Matt Shively, Bryce Gonzalez, Selenis Leyva and Al Madrigal.

As we’ve covered relentlessly throughout 2023, Netflix is once again leaning toward licensing, as are its competitors, for multiple reasons.
On Netflix’s part, they have to keep content flowing on the platform, and due to the pandemic in the last few years as well as the Hollywood strikes of 2023, their lineup has been affected, meaning they are turning to licensing other people’s content.
From the perspective of NBC Universal and other legacy companies, profitability is priority and center, and their streaming services are bleeding money, which means they are returning to licensing to help their balance sheets.
When will Lopez vs. Lopez On Netflix?
As we mentioned, all 22 episodes that make up the first season of Lopez vs Lopez are set to land on November 4, as confirmed within the Netflix app.
We only have confirmation that Netflix US is currently set to license the first season.
It is expected Lopez vs. Lopez It has been licensed to Netflix under a non-exclusive agreement that stipulates that Peacock will also continue to stream it until after November 4th.

As you may have heard, the series is set to return for a second season on NBC. holes Announced by NBC in introductory ads in May 2023the show will return for a full second season, but it’s worth noting that no word was heard over the summer during the strikes and it likely won’t air until 2024.
