Škoda updates the Scala and Kamiq with functions derived from the higher grades and progressive design details. As a preview, we can get an idea of the official changes.

After appearing on the scene almost at the same time four years ago (because despite their different size classifications, they are based on common foundations and have almost the same wheelbase), the refreshed lower mid-range hatchback and urban crossover now at the same time, the joint premiere will be held on August 1.

The Škoda 11 departs from its charters once again

According to preliminary information, the purpose of closing the wrinkles is, in part, to differentiate the personalities of the two models more clearly: the Scala will have more dynamic visual features, and the Kamiq more powerful. This is achieved using the usual methods: renewing headlights, front and rear bumpers, radiator grilles and wheel rims.

Skoda 12 details its new compacts

The Scala’s narrower headlights will extend all the way to the radiator grille, the lower front air intakes will be split horizontally, and the rear diffuser will also receive polished split inserts. The interior design of the taillights will be more refined, whatever that means.

Škoda 13 details its compacts again

The top element of the Kamiq’s horizontally split headlamps will be narrower but more pronounced, the radiator grille will be larger and less slanted, and the grille will define a U-shape at the bottom. At the bottom of the bumper there is a polished insert and additional air intakes that visually expand the car, and at the back we see a wide black diffuser. Both bumpers are closed off with a silver insert from below, mimicking the skid plates common on hardtail off-road vehicles. At the rear, revised L-shaped lights complete the series of changes.
