Telex journalist Daniel Bolso won second place in this year’s European Science Journalist of the Year award, according to a statement from the European Science Journalism Association, which awarded the award. The organization awarded three articles from our colleague’s recent work:

Daniel Bolcso has been working as a journalist since 2014. He started his career at Index, then left with the majority of the editorial staff in 2020. He has been working at our newspaper as an editor and journalist since the launch of Telex. His work has previously been recognized with the Junior Prima Award and the Endre Hevesi Award. He has been named Information Security Journalist of the Year, as well as IT Journalist of the Year, and in June 2021 he received a Quality Journalism Award for his article on coronavirus. In May of this year, he won the Academic Journalism Award.

Niki Korteweg, a science journalist at the Dutch daily NRC, was named European Science Journalist of the Year, and third place went to Slovenian journalist Lea Udović, whose notable work included an interview with Nobel Prize-winning scientist Katalin Kariko.
