On this magical island, Hungarians are once again waiting for a dream vacation

Exotic beaches, serene jungle and rich culture – it’s all in Bali, now available to fully vaccinated Hungarian travelers without quarantine and PCR testing. We’ve rounded up the most interesting sights this summer on this beautiful island.

1. Uluwatu, the world-famous surfing paradise

There is no place more perfect for surfing than Bali. Uluwatu is the island’s most famous surfing paradise, nestled under a stunning limestone cliff, are huge coral reefs that open in all directions. There are five cliff tops that open up to surfers as the tides and waves change.

Uluwatu is ideal for intermediate and advanced surfers alike, but at one of the surf schools on the island, anyone can learn to surf at any time and then immediately practice on the best beaches in Bali.

2. The most famous beach resorts

Changju is full of colorful beach bars, surfers, and cafes serving good food. It is surrounded by gorgeous rice fields and exotic volcanic black sand beaches.

The city is known for its trendy cafés, where nomads can also have a good time. Seminyak has some of the most beautiful beaches in Bali. Definitely worth watching the lavish sunsets, enjoying the peace, enjoying Balinese festivities on the beach and the music of traditional gamelan bands.

3. The perfect Instagram picture on the rice terrace

The main ingredient in Balinese cuisine is rice, which has also had a huge impact on the island’s culture. For the most part, the growth cycle of rice determines the course of the traditional Balinese life. Islanders see rice as a gift from God and a symbol of life.

The people who lived here have been farming and cultivating the beautiful rice terraces of Bali for thousands of years, growing three types of rice: white rice, black rice and red rice. There are so many wonderful fields and they are all breathtaking and definitely worth a visit to the rice terraces in Tegallalang, Jatiluweh, Munduk and Sidemen Valley where we can make beautiful Instagram posts.

4. Meditation in Ubud

There is no better place than the forest to practice yoga, and Ubud probably has more yoga mattresses per square foot than anywhere else in the world. Ubud has long been considered the center of spiritual healing in Bali, and the word “Ubud” itself means medicine in Bali. In Ubud, everything from spiritual exercises to fast-paced vinyasa movements and energy flow movements can be experienced by those who want spiritual balance.

In addition to yoga, you should not miss the practice of Sound Healing Meditation, a practice that uses vibrations (sound or instrument-like gongs, Tibetan bowls and pitchforks) to relax and relieve stress in the mind and body.

5. Sangeh Monkey Forest

Sangeh Monkey Forest is a small rainforest in which a group of monkeys live and is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali. The forest and visitor center is managed by local residents. There are 28 special species of trees and 22 species of shrubs/bush in Sangeh Forest, but there are also 22 species of birds, 5 special species of mammals, 3 species of reptiles, 2 species of amphibians and 5 species of arthropods. An unmissable experience for nature lovers.

6. The most beautiful waterfalls on the island

In addition to the above, Bali is also famous for its waterfalls. The relatively small island contains more than fifty waterfalls of various shapes and sizes. The most famous of these waterfalls is the Sikembol Falls. It takes a little work to be able to see it up close, as his approach is a bit adventurous, but it’s definitely worth the effort. Sekumpul Waterfall consists of a total of seven waterfalls, each of which is distinguished in a variety of shapes and heights.

7. Al-Handara Gate

Handara Gate is one of the most famous filming locations on the island. The gate is actually the entrance to the golf resort, however a must see for tourists and photography enthusiasts.

The traditional Hindu gate leads the visitor from the outside world to the temple, or in this case to the golf course, and plays an important role in Indonesian culture. Handara Gate is surrounded by lush green mountains, crater lakes and rainforests that provide a dramatic backdrop for the perfect photo shoot.

8. Trip to Nusa Penida Island

If you are traveling to Bali, be sure to visit the relatively pristine island of Nusa Penida, southeast of Bali. The island can be reached by speedboat which departs from Sanur in the morning and returns in the afternoon, so you can plan a day trip. But if you want to fully explore Nusa Penida, it is also worth spending 2-3 days on the island.

One of the most famous is Keelingking Beach, an incredible hidden beach with deep turquoise waters, a soft white sandy beach, with great views, surrounded by steep cliffs rising into the sky. Here one feels as if he has fallen into heaven on earth.

How do you travel there?

Emirates operates 5 flights per week from Budapest to Dubai, where you can fly to Bali with a convenient transportation option. Flights depart from Budapest at 16:00 and arrive in Dubai at 23:20 local time, while the connecting flight arrives at 02:15 to Denpasar at 15:25. There are a number of additional options for transportation, so you may have time to explore Dubai before heading to Bali.
