Finally, Chrome will not take up a lot of memory

Google Chrome is undoubtedly the most popular browser and a great choice for anyone who likes the company’s ecosystem anyway, because it works well with Gmail, Drive, and other Google services. However, I’ve always had one big problem: It eats up your computer’s resources.

Google also announced two new features in the latest version of Chrome, which will be available to all users in the coming period. Both are important, but most people will probably be happy with something about memory consumption: the developers have included a new memory saving mode, with which the browser will reduce memory by up to 40%.

This is implemented in such a way that among the many open browser tabs, unused ones are not preserved in memory, so that more is left for the currently viewed tab, or for other memory-intensive applications – for example, games.

Another novelty is the power saving mode, which is triggered when the laptop’s battery drops below 20%. In this case, Chrome restores browser window activity running in the background, such as animations, visual effects, and video clips.

Google confirms that both of these new features are optional, so you can turn them on and off as you like.
