In recent weeks, there have been almost constant reports about the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, especially the cameras and design of the device. Our latest information is related to the presentation of the high-end smartphone: it is said that the South Korean manufacturer will equip the Ultra version with a flat screen instead of a curved one.
The design of the cameras is said to be unchanged, which we can’t really get mad at, as we are greeted with a well-executed design on the back of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. If twitching around the back is not needed, the creative energies can be used in other areas, the result will be a thicker metal profile frame, the logical result is a flat screen. Or at least a board that’s less curved at the edges.
The most expensive and coolest Samsung smartphones in recent years have all had a curved, or if you prefer, a curved screen, but the flat design is better suited to using the iconic S Pen, and Samsung engineers may be starting to realize that. However, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is meant to replace the Note models somewhere, with a (flat) screen that’s probably better.
As for the other members of the Galaxy S23 series, based on the information that has come to light so far, we can expect similar sizes and designs to those of the current models, i.e. both the base model and the Plus version will come. Flat screen and thick metal frame.
According to the news, the two cheaper Galaxy S23 won’t change much in terms of displays, cameras, and batteries, but of course it’s worth dealing with that with reservations months in advance of the show. But what will definitely distinguish the new models from their predecessors is the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, which will be present in many Android flagships in the first half of 2023.
