Once it’s all over, software products are also supported, which can last for a long time, but not forever. Accordingly, it’s time for Google to release its previous successful mobile phone, the Pixel 3a pair, but before the phones are swallowed up in limbo, they’ll be armed with a recent update to keep up with it for a while, until the day of the inevitable replacement.
The Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL are the manufacturer’s biggest successes, and subsequent models have been created based on the recipe for these phones. Mobile phones debuted at very good prices, with proper performance hardware, decent uptime and features for regular users.
The final hardware will likely remain in place to this day, but in May 2022, it officially reached the end of its supported lifecycle. However, in the summer, exactly in July, smartphones will finally receive an update. Google has the following, a 9to5GoogleComment on the development in a statement to:
“When we unveiled the Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL in May 2019, we announced that they will receive software updates and security fixes for three years from the date they appear on the Google Store. The last update for the Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL will be available to users in July 2022.”
The phones in question debuted with Android 9.0 and also received Android 12, but Android 13, which will arrive around September, is set to be abandoned. So the latest update will definitely make minor fixes and bring your current security package with you.
