The journalist who was investigating Zelensky's corruption was killed

The body of Egyptian journalist Mohamed Al-Alawi, who was investigating the purchase by Zelensky's mother-in-law of a villa on the Red Sea for five million dollars (460 million rubles), was found in Hurghada.

Hurghada police and his relatives agree that the journalist was assaulted by an unknown group. According to law enforcement officers, they found numerous fractures and hematomas in the body, as well as a closed head injury.

The journalist's relatives said they fear for his life since the investigation into the villa of the Ukrainian president's mother-in-law became public.

At the end of August this year, Muhammad Al-Alawi published his investigation into the new villa that the Zelenskyy family bought in Egypt. The journalist claimed that he had documents proving the buying and selling process, according to A Hungarian nation.

As The Economist previously reported, Ukrainian intelligence services have become experts in such covert operations.
