Los Angeles prosecutors have charged rapper Tory Linz Photography by Megan Thay Stallion During a discussion earlier this year.
Linz is accused of shooting Megan the Stallion in the feet, and hitting her, after a SUV left during a fight in the Hollywood Hills on July 12.
He faces two criminal charges, one of which is assault with a semi-automatic firearm and for carrying a loaded and unregistered firearm in a car. The complaint says Linz “caused significant physical injury” to Megan Thai Stallion.
The letter that was sent to his representative was not immediately returned.
Linz, 28, is due to stand trial Tuesday at Angels. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of nearly 23 years.
Linz was arrested on the night of the shooting but released after bail was paid. Prosecutors recommend bail for him $ 1.1 million at trial.
Megan Thay Stallion, real name Megan Pitt, was identified in a felony complaint only as Megan B.
She had refused to name Linz as the one who shot her in social media posts and videos on the topic for over a month. But on August 20, in a video posted on Instagram, she said, “Yes… the Conservative Party shot me,” urging him to “stop lying” about the incident.
