Leaked release date of the fall; RT for Starfield on PC too?

theGeek

Todd Howard’s next game may get ray tracing, while we’re also hearing about Redfall, which takes place in Arkane Austin.

Let’s start with Redfall. Last year, Project Arkane Austin was delayed at the same time as Bethesda Game Studios (we’ll short them by BGS from now on): For both, Microsoft has officially said it’s coming to Xbox Series and PC (more on Xbox Game Pass) in First half of 2023. In the case of Starfield, we’ve already written that the release date on SteamDB has been moved to December 2023 (i.e. Howard’s new IP could have been delayed another six months…?), but regarding With Redfall, we just heard From Okami ألعاب GamesThis game is supposed to be released in May, and by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, for example, we can start the game a week in advance, which will be Arkane’s first serious multiplayer attempt. (Well, who also remembers the crossing…? Maybe it was the first…)

Let’s move on to Starfield. The on reddit We read that BGS graph programmer, German Mazak, confirmed Starfield’s ray tracing integration on his LinkedIn profile. There will be integration with RTX, so Nvidia technologies like DLSS, RTX Global Illumination and Direct Illumination may appear in Howard’s new brainchild. We don’t yet know exactly what features will arrive in the game, which is understandable because the new release date is not yet known, and if Starfield finally arrives in May, it’s still more than half a year away.

When the two games were postponed, Microsoft wrote: “We’ve decided to postpone the release of Redfall and Starfield until the first half of 2023. The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure you get the best and most exciting releases from them. Polished. We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm for Redfall and Starfield. This energy contributes so much to what we make (inspires and excites us every day). We can’t wait to share our first deep look at Redfall and Starfield’s gameplay soon. Thank you for your support.”

We’ll see what happens with them…
