While old photos are far from perfect, they are incredibly valuable, so it’s worth taking the time and technology to improve them.
Photo albums hold a lot of memories, but poor quality and a grainy, shabby paper photo often spoil the fun, and it’s only worth digitizing them to keep them safe for the future. SoftOrbits helps you bring your old photos to life with just a few clicks.
improve with digitization
Photo Retoucher Pro has a simple and easy to understand interface that can perform actions on one photo at a time. However, the simple appearance is not fooled, you will find a lot of features in this photo editor, and the explanation of the menus and buttons is not too bad except for the installer.
The program can work wonders specifically for old paper photos and black and white photos, and most of the features can automatically detect the amount of correction and make changes. This is convenient, but by no means universal, there was a case in our test where the overzealous scratch remover and tint made the subject of the photo unrecognizable.
Of course, the opposite was also true, especially with some manual tuning: the old photo was full of color, and after removing scratches and improving the contrast, the old paper photo was as good as if it had been taken with a digital camera.
You can undo each step, you don’t have to apply different effects to the whole image, you can select smaller areas. These more detailed features and a full toolbar are only available from the top dropdown menu, and unfortunately the Ribbon toolbar cannot be expanded arbitrarily, although this will significantly speed up the use of the program. Most of the modifications are done quickly, but some algorithms can completely sweat your computer.
