USA host Bangladesh and Canada ahead of T20I World Cup

In the lead-up to the ICC Men's T20I World Cup, the United States will host the Canadian and Bangladeshi cricket teams, USAC Cricket announced on Thursday.

The series will see the USA play Canada in a five-match T20I series starting on April 7, followed by a three-match T20I series against Bangladesh starting on May 21. All matches will be played at the Prairie View Cricket Complex (PVCC). In Houston, Texas.

The confirmation of the matches comes after successful discussions between USAC, Cricket Canada, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the International Cricket Council (ICC).

“Bangladesh team's upcoming tour of the USA represents a historic occasion in world cricket. This T20I series represents a great opportunity for cricketers of both countries to showcase their talent and passion for the sport,” Nizamuddin Chowdhury, CEO of BCB, was quoted as saying in a press release sent by BCB.

He also said that the series will serve the Bangladesh team as an ideal platform to adapt to the conditions leading up to the World Cup.

“There is a huge Bangladeshi community in the US and North America, and I am sure fans will come in large numbers to enjoy the matches, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and enthusiasm for the matches,” he added.

The matches between Bangladesh and the United States will be held on May 21, 23 and 25, respectively.
