Today is the 30th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series

Bethesda Game Studios also celebrated the anniversary, taking stock of the games of the past three decades and looking to the future. Yes, they are already developing TES 6.

Few series can claim to have attracted millions of fans for three decades without the popularity of older episodes faltering to this day. Looking back, March 25, 1994 is a real day for RPG fans, because it was on this day that The Elder Scrolls: Arena was released, where we were able to visit the magical continent of Tamriel for the first time. This was followed two years later by Daggerfall, and then in 2002 by Morrowind. Oblivion's technological leap was impressive for its time, but of course, in today's eyes, we shouldn't forget Skyrim, which has become an independent icon of the series.

Naturally, Bethesda Game Studios remembered the series as well In X's last postIn addition to reflecting on the games, the post also discusses how important it is for the studio to make each part available to as many people as possible. The first two parts are completely free from Bethesda's website, and Morrowind and Oblivion can be played at today's quality thanks to backwards compatibility for Xbox consoles. Skyrim has come up with almost everything in the past 12 years.

Tamriel is important not only for players, but also for the developers themselves, who revealed here that they actually returned to the fantasy continent in early versions of The Elder Scrolls VI. Of course, this doesn't mean that we'll even get images from the game in the foreseeable future, but it's good to know that the makers of the series are already working on the new chapter.
