Library: Bird and Trees Week – Only this time online

Library: Bird and Trees Week - Only this time online

It is no coincidence that the children’s library of the Attila Joseph Library won the title of “Bird-Friendly Foundation”: on May 10, that is, on the occasion of Bird and Tree Day, browsers were treated with an online program throughout the week, headed by Eva Toth.

“… she dedicates one day of the year”

The organizers of the action series have asked followers of the show to pay attention to the Facebook interface and official library page for some cool, sometimes creative, sometimes scientifically exciting and interesting content!

“… one day a year is devoted to protecting birds and trees.” – The software series was introduced with a quote from Hermann Otto, a mixed-use Hungarian scientist. He established scientific research on birds in Hungary with the creation of the Hungarian Ornithology Center, and at his suggestion we considered May 10 a natural holiday since 1906
Humans have had a special attraction to birds and trees since ancient times. According to library enthusiasts, Bird and Tree Day is “a celebration of all nature, when we humans celebrate that we are brothers and sisters of all living things on Earth.”

Sunnah bird, tree and other wonders

A separate chapter is dedicated to 2021 Birds and Trees from the Library’s compilation: Gypsy and Rowan Spear Show – see our collection’s custom illustrations! It covers all the important details, literally showing what has been chosen near interested children.

Nature’s wonders and curiosities are not only given a prominent role in the program of birds and trees from the point of view of science and the spread of knowledge: every day there are fairy tales, rhymes, poems, songs and even tips for kindergarten activities in the library.
Kids can learn about the eternal thoughts of Istvan Vichetti from the poem The Forest Prayers, among other things, but there are also several games dotted in collecting online, which complete with rental tips.

It is also open on Saturdays during the school year

Last but not least, a few words about the library’s opening hours. The most important thing is that after the epidemiological restrictions are eased, it will operate according to the usual working hours, and the library will open its doors on Saturdays until June 12, according to the school year. Message friends can visit the institution every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 am to 6:30 pm, on Thursdays from 1 pm to 5 pm, and on Saturdays from 1 pm to 6:30 pm.
Library buildings can be visited accompanied by a parent with a security card, in the event that a minor is present with a security card. For those who do not have a security certificate, JAKD-Pakk Point will continue to operate. The Peace Branch Library is still not open due to the ban on visiting schools, but the Peace Package Point website is also open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9 am to 12 noon.
