There is no drastic change, only a series of changes.

After last month holiday update, Ford has also revealed next year’s version of this model, which is a larger number one. The focus has been renewed moderately on the outside and more seriously on the inside.

For example, the headlights are now LED by default and a fog lamp has been integrated into the headlight housing, which has the ability to clean at the same time.

There was an even bigger change in the cabin as the 2022 Focus turned into the latest Ford SYNC 4 infotainment system. The touchscreen is now larger, 13.2 inches in the model, which also supports online updates, as well as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto use. Thanks to the larger screen, the physical climate controls are gone, and here, too, there are digital “buttons” from now on.

The range of the new Focus engine was somewhat narrowed compared to the previous model: the EcoBoost 1.5 and EcoBlue 2.0 gasoline engines disappeared from the diesel units. Also available is a 125-hp 1.0-liter six-speed manual transmission model with 48V mild-hybrid technology, as is the 155-hp version, which is fitted with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Ford also keeps the diesel engine for now, the 1.5-liter EcoBlue four-cylinder, which is available with 95 or 120 horsepower. The sporty Focus ST has hardly been renewed, the 2.3-liter petrol engine still has 280 hp, but new sports seats from Recaro.
