However, as it turns out, she not only had the dress tailored to her, but she totally changed it, so it was just a shade of her mother’s piece. The father discovered this when he went with his daughter to pay the advance dressmaker.

She ordered her daughter to tell her mother what she had done with her clothes.

According to Olivia, her father overreacted to this situation and is upset that he is now retreating from expenses, because he organized everything based on the help of parents, without which they would not be able to pay for the wedding.
