According to a new report, the Resident Evil 4 remake will keep a controversial area of the original game that was previously cut.
The Resident Evil 4 remake will reportedly retain an aspect of the original game that proved divisive at the time of its release. Following in the footsteps of previous Resident Evil remakes, the new RE4 keeps the general framework of the original game, but at the same time makes changes big enough to make it feel like an entirely new experience.
Based on what we’ve seen so far, Resident Evil 4 will have a darker tone than the original, with an emphasis on horror elements rather than craggy one-liners.
The game seems to use some tools in the story as well dark change. In the original Resident Evil 4 game, players have the opportunity to rescue a dog from a bear trap. But in RE 4 edition, the dog was already dead when Leon arrived.
The latest issue of Edge magazine interviews the game’s developers. It has been confirmed that all major areas of the original will be represented in the remake. This means that fans can expect to visit the village, the castle, and finally the disputed island already seen in the trailers for the remake of RE 4.
The original RE 4 is one of the most iconic and influential video games of all time. However, it is not perfect. Many fans have complained about Resident Evil 4’s island section over the years. They felt it was a step backwards from the game’s early and mid-game quality.
The island’s return in RE 4 is no surprise. Some fans may have been disappointed when it was confirmed that he would indeed be back. But Capcom understands that some fans weren’t that impressed with the island. They will probably take up some comments.
It looks like the Resident Evil 4 remake will have “a lot” on the island, so it will be interesting to see what exactly that means.
It is possible that Capcom will show off the island section of the RE 4 remake in pre-release footage. If not, we will have to wait for the game to be released. Fortunately, the release date of the new version is just around the corner…
