It’s not just the Hungarians who are terrified of the Brussels dictate: the Poles will start a referendum on the immigrant quota

As in Hungary, Poland also raised a lot of dust when the proposal for compulsory distribution of migrants in the European Union was voted on. Years ago, there was talk of forcing immigrants into member states, and that’s when the mandatory immigrant quota was invented, which was until now lying in a drawer in Brussels. And last week, the proposal was brought up again, Representatives of the Hungarian left, such as Ana Donáth, Katalin Cheh, István Ujelli, Clara Dobrev or even Šaba Molnar, voted for him. They did this despite the fact that 98% of respondents in the national consultation rejected the idea of ​​it being a country of immigrants. According to the motion I just voted for, however to member states You must pay 22,000 euros (8 million forints) to each rejected immigrant. No wonder the leaders of many countries are freaking out.

Although the guardians of democracy in Brussels seem unconcerned with the fact that, for example, Hungarians do not want immigrants, The Poles came up with the idea to use the people’s will as a shield. The editor-in-chief of the Polish portal wPolityce writes in the columns of the site that, contrary to the treaties, the MEPs decided on resettlement by a majority vote on the issue of quotas, and Poland and Hungary also opposed this step.
