Starting today, YouTube will no longer show videos to as many people

A lot of people are angry with YouTube.

YouTube will no longer show videos to users who are signed out of their Google account or using incognito mode reports Sleeping computer.

As part of the change, users who are not signed in will only see a simple YouTube home page, with no videos or suggestions, with the following message:

YouTube history turned off: You can turn on your watch and search history at any time to watch the latest personalized videos.

Tests on different computers show that even if someone specifically searches for something on YouTube, it won't show suggestions and will still prompt you to watch videos. In the case of our page, it happened differently, in the case of searching for a targeted video, the page loaded successfully.

As some users have noted on X, those who have cleared their search and viewing history will also not see suggestions when they sign in. With this, YouTube is clearly trying to get users to sign in through very unrestricted means, which understandably upsets a lot of people.
