On March 15, just before St. Patrick's Day, Netflix released Irish Wish starring Lindsay Lohan. This film was shot against the stunning scenery of Ireland, with a particular highlight being Lough Tay in Co Wicklow.
Known as 'Loch of Guinness', the lake has dark waters surrounded by white sand and is said to resemble the famous Irish lake when viewed from above.

A report by Bokun, a reservation management software provider, revealed that last month, Google searches for Lough Tay rose by a staggering 1,253 percent. The Cliffs of Moher, another scenic area featured in the film, has also seen increased interest.

Lohan praised the local landscape and the warmth of the Irish people, adding: “It's a place you don't want to leave when you're there.”
She also hoped to return, perhaps for a family vacation. Furthermore, Lohan revealed her admiration for Newgrange in Co Meath, an ancient site which she described as “very special”.
