The Lenovo Tab Plus is designed specifically for music lovers. The tablet can also be used as a standalone Bluetooth speaker.

Lenovo has introduced its latest Android tablet, the Tab Plus. The special feature of the mid-range tablet is its speaker system: a total of eight JBL speakers are installed with a total output of 26 watts. A tweeter and tweeter are placed in each corner.

Due to the placement of the speakers, the 11.5-inch tablet has a slightly thicker case on one side. There is also a foldable stand that can be adjusted to different angles in a landscape format. The speakers appear to be located in this thicker section, which would also be ideal acoustically.

The headphones also support Dolby Atmos technology, and it is possible to transmit audio signals at a frequency of 24-bit and 96 kHz via headphones. The Tab Plus can also be used as a Bluetooth speaker for external devices. So, for example, music can be streamed from the smartphone to the speakers of the Tab Plus, something that is not usually possible with tablets.

Large screen with Full HD resolution

The screen resolution is 2000 x 1200 pixels, the maximum refresh rate is 90 Hz, and the brightness can reach 400 cd/m2. The manufacturer describes the device as an entertainment tablet, but emphasizes music lovers.

The screen also has a built-in reading mode, which comes in handy when using e-book reading apps, for example. Lenovo explains that this mimics the color gamut of book pages by making the screen softer. The manufacturer does not explain exactly how all this is achieved technically.

Inside the Tab Plus is a MediaTek Helio G99 processor, which is a mid-range octa-core processor with a top clock speed of 2.2GHz. The size of the RAM is 8 GB, and the storage space is 128 GB or 256 GB, depending on the design. A Micro-SD card slot is also available. The dimensions of the Tab Plus are 268.3 x 174.3 x 7.8 mm, and the thickness of the speaker is 13.6 mm.

The nominal battery capacity is 8600 mAh and can be charged at up to 45 watts. The Tab Plus will be sold with Android 14, and two more Android versions and security updates for the tablet are expected until June 2028.
