Dusk Golem, who had given strong advice more than once before official announcements, was unable to handle it again. According to the leaker, Capcom will send the next major Monster Hunter console to stock shelves in the first quarter of 2025.
Dusk Golem shared it on his Discord server The latest inside information About Monster Hunter Wilds. According to him, several different sources have recently told him that “this will be the biggest Capcom game ever.”
The entire open-world monster hunting stuff has been in development since the beginning of 2019, meaning it started working shortly after the release of Monster Hunter: World. Wilds carries over many discarded ideas from its predecessor, but it also brings back “Godzilla's big monster” which many believe will be Zorah Magdaros.
The game is a much more open-world experience than World or Rise, which is somewhat risky, and the internal feedback is excellent so far. Dusk Golem concluded his speech with a possible premiere period, which is the first quarter of 2025 – and this can be maintained, as no major problems have arisen during development. Capcom is spending its entire fiscal year on this title, and doesn't think it should be delayed due to the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
