The new electric Honda has arrived with a range of up to 480 kilometers

Honda is slowly but surely starting to improve when it comes to developing and producing electric models. All of their purely electric models so far are their own (or Chinese cooperation) It was built on an advanced, but long-awaited, floor plate introduction It will be different in many ways. This is mainly because Honda is basing this on rented technology.

The history of this type did not begin now, already in 2021 there was news that Honda will build the Prologue on the GM Ultium floorboard, and in addition, the premium segment brother will also arrive from it, under the sponsorship of Acura. Unfortunately, since then, there is no official information about where the Prologue will be manufactured, but rumors are already circulating that Honda’s solution will be produced in Mexico (from 2023), while Acura will be produced in Tennessee, near Spring Hill (2024). . However, what has definitely been revealed in recent days is the appearance and key parameters. these Shared by Honda With the world.

So the Ultium floorboard is already confirmed, as is the SUV shape. Honda’s electric car does come with a newly designed logo, which is meant to represent the clean and modern design of the front. Compared to new electric models from Hyundai or Kia, the Prologue has a very simple design, but perhaps that’s not necessarily a problem. The dimensions are: 4.87 m long, 1.64 m high, 1.98 m wide, with the novelty being slightly longer than the CR-V by more than 20 cm. The factory wheel size can be up to 21 inches.

Honda’s designers have provided as much storage space as possible with a two-level center console, a flexible multi-purpose tray and a pair of massive cup holders (enough for approximately two 1-litre bottles). The Prologue also includes Honda’s first wireless smartphone charger as standard.

The midsize SUV will be available with single drive (FWD) and dual drive (AWD), with three trim levels (EX, Touring and Elite). In the EX trim level, we can already find two-tone upholstery, while in the case of the Touring, we can expect leather seats with a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The aforementioned 21-inch wheels come standard on the Elite trim.

The Prologue will be the first Honda SUV to feature built-in Google services, including Google Assistant, Google Maps and Google Play. Honda has tried to put together a tech-rich cabin, which comes with an 11-inch display and an 11.3-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. A 7×3-inch HUd is also available at the Lite level. Prologue will also receive over-the-air updates so you always have the latest software and features available.

The battery pack is 85 kWh, and the DC Lightning charging power is 155 kW. The power of the dual motor is 288 hp and torque is 452 Nm. Sales of the Honda Prologue will begin in early 2024, with pre-orders available soon. Prices will be announced before the sale.
