The end of the administrative period is fast approaching, and applicants for undergraduate courses starting in September 2022 can submit the missing documents, amend their data and arrange the previously indicated majors until midnight on July 7.
According to information from felvi.hu, the latter is only possible once, which means that those who have already done so cannot change it again. It is important to note that only disciplines selected at the time of application can be transferred, and new courses cannot be selected. There is only one exception, if we want to hire a paid partner for an already existing place of application.
It is worth changing then
- If the courses we want to enroll in are not first on our list.
- It may be practical to change the arrangement if, for example, our place of residence or the financial situation of the family changes.
- It may also be beneficial to switch majors if the form of government scholarship is on a list older than the self-funded one.
Not worth changing
- If we fail an aptitude test for a particular course, because without it we cannot be accepted into the specified course anyway, so the place of application is not taken into account when determining the points limits.
- It is also not the best idea to search based on graduation results and adjust based on points limits set in previous years, because minimum points are affected by many factors, such as the capacity of the institution, the number of applicants, and the rank it gave them. That’s why it’s worth keeping the institution you want first, even if you’re sure you don’t have a chance to get into it.
- If you don’t want to enroll in a course, you’d better choose to opt out (exclude it).
Caroli tries a tempting offer
The University of Károli Gáspár Református encourages applicants to nominate the institution in the first place, because those who do so can reduce the costs of their studies with the help of the “Unique Scholarship Programme”.
“If you choose our institution in the first place, you may be eligible for the Károli Scholarship, the purpose of which is to support talented students who primarily apply to us, but who are participating in a self-funded training. With the Károli Scholarship, you can reduce the amount of self-cost by up to 75 percent,” it reads as the letter the university sent to applicants.
There will be a Punt-Out party again this year
Point limits are expected to be announced on July 21, and will be available first at felvi.hu.
felvi.hu noted, “Applicants who provided their mobile phone number when applying will receive an SMS notification of their results on the same day.”
As is known, parties are organized all over the country to announce point limits. Although the Punt Out party was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, the event took place in 2021 as per tradition, and it won’t be any different in 2022 either, the Budapest event will take place in the City Park.
